In this section you will find materials which will support and challenge you to consider the way in which you us your emotional intelligence and respond to pressure, how you can remain in control, make good decisions and choices about the way in which you behave.
Emotional control, or emotional regulation, is about how well we can manage and control our emotions, or more precisely, our emotional reactions. It's about learning to stay calm when handling problems, and reacting with just the right amount of emotional reaction given the situation.
As James Allen said in his book “As man thinketh in 1903
"Self-control is strength. Calmness is mastery. You have to get to the point where your mood doesn't shift based upon the actions of someone else. Don't allow others to control the direction of your life. Don't allow your emotions to overpower your intelligence.“
