Dr Natalie Brown
Dr Natalie Brown is a researcher based at Swansea University, working in collaboration with Sport Wales for the Welsh Institute of Performance Science. Her research focuses on the menstrual cycle and impact on sport participation and performance. The research has focused on athlete experiences relating to the menstrual cycle and openness of communication with coaches, leading to developing and delivering coach and athlete education. Previously Natalie worked as a Physiologist at Sport Wales and completed her PhD on competition preparation and recovery in athletes, drawing on this experience has assisted in the applied and practical approach of supporting female athletes and coaches to understand and incorporate the menstrual cycle into training and performance.
