Jo Perkins
Joanna Perkins is Head Physiotherapist for the WRU Womens’ National rugby team. She has BSc (hons) in Physiotherapy and MSc in Sports Medicine. Jo has worked in professional rugby union since 2010 and developed a passion for womens’ health following having her 1st child and realising the lack of research and support for female athletes. Research has included investigating stress incontinence rates in rugby Union, female rugby injury surveillance and postpartum returning to running. Jo is one of the lead authors on World Rugby's postnatal return to rugby guidelines and has worked with Vodafone to develop a groundbreaking menstrual tracking app which will be used to analyse how the menstrual cycle impacts performance on the pitch.
