WRU Gender Participation Policy
Society is changing, and sport must face the challenge of accommodating participation from every group, even if this means recognising that our traditional structures are not always set up to do so. We believe that this policy addresses those societal changes around gender and sex.
The Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) is the national governing body for rugby union in Wales, and has a responsibility to regulate participation in rugby union in a safe environment. The WRU are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion throughout rugby in Wales, and providing a jersey for all across the game.
